Huggins pleased with Marquette scrimmage

Kansas State coach Bob Huggins is excited about the opportunity coach a game in front of Wildcat fans this Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum. This Saturday's matchup against Washburn won't be his team's first action, however, as K-State worked against nationally ranked Marquette last week in an open scrimmage. Huggins gives his thoughts on that scrimmage and much more in this Q&A.

How did the scrimmage with Marquette go?
"Good. Good. I thought it was great being able to play a team of that caliber, get to work against them. I think both teams got a lot out of it. You play an exhibition game and you might be able to get one situation in. We were able to work on situations and things. We were kind of doing it on the fly, but that's good."

Did you guys keep score?
"I don't know. I didn't pay attention. I don't think we did. I don't know."

Did you do more than just scrimmage?
"We did a lot of situations. We got to play against zone, play against some man, play against a little pressure. We got some situations in where you're up a few, down a few. Lots of things."
