Anthony Tucker scores 30 in defeat
The junior season of Anthony Tucker came to an end Friday night when McDonald's All-American Cole Aldrich and his Jefferson Jaguars beat Minnetonka 84-76 in overtime. The 6-foot-3 Tucker scored 30 points hitting six three-pointers but it was not enough to stop Aldrich and the inspired play of his teammates.
In an electric atmosphere played at Burnsville High School, Cole Aldrich brought his team to the State Tournament for the first time in his four years at Jefferson. Making eight of 12 field goal attempts (five of the made shots were two hand jams) and ten of 14 free throws, Aldrich scored 26 points, grabbed 19 rebounds, blocked four shots and kicked out five assists.

Fellow Jefferson senior Jon Mays had 16 points including a climatic dunk in the game's final seconds, junior Aaron Barmore handled the ball and the relentless Tonka ball pressure scoring 12 points and running the offense and sophomore Moses Alipate scored 16 huge points all of the slashing variety.
