LOS ANGELES (AP) Norman Powell scored a career-high 19 points to lead five players in double figures as UCLA cruised to an 89-60 victory over UC Irvine on Tuesday night.

The Bruins (6-5) won their fourth straight game to move above .500 for the first time this season. They had lost four of their first five.

Tyler Lamb also had a career best and scored 17 points. Joshua Smith and David Wear each had 12 for UCLA. Lazeric Jones added 11 and six assists.

Chris McNealy scored 11 points and Daman Starring had 10 for Irvine (2-9).

UCLA shot a season-best 54.8 percent and held a 39-21 edge in rebounding.

The Bruins entered the game fresh off an 82-39 rout of UC Davis three days earlier. They turned in another strong performance against an overmatched opponent.
