No. 4 ranked Missouri 22-2 (8-2) escaped the Lloyd Noble Center Monday night with a 71-68 victory sending the Sooners to their third straight loss.
Oklahoma fell to 13-10 (3-8) as a last second three point attempt by junior Steven Pledger bounced off the back rim.
Perhaps more surprising than the Sooners failed last second attempt was Oklahoma's effort from the free throw line. Where they missed 14-of-23 attempts including eight straight misses in the first half.
Even despite the missed last second shot Pledger lead the Sooners with 22 points while Sam Grooms turned in- yet another- impressive performance scoring 17 points and dishing 10 assists.
Grooms- a junior JUCO transfer via Chipola College- leads the Big 12 with a 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Over the last seven games, he has 50 assists and nine turnovers.
