After an official visit to Clemson, Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic power forward Jerai Grant made a verbal pledge on Sunday.
"Going into the visit I had no idea that I would be committing. I really didn't," Grant said. "I wanted to take all five visits and having that expectation coming into the trip, me and my mom were just blown away when we got there."
Grant follows a family legacy to Death Valley. His father, Harvey, and uncle Horace, both played at Clemson before long careers in the NBA. The younger Grant said he is looking forward to making his own tradition at Clemson.
